Hi, I'm Rob — the Bow Tie Teacher
I'm a GCSE maths teacher with 20+ years of classroom experience and a passion for helping students reach grades they didn't think were possible. Bow Tie Maths is built from 8 years of real exam data — every question, weighting, and prediction comes from what I've seen work in practice.
My background
I've spent over two decades teaching in secondary schools, working with students across every ability level — from those who find the subject genuinely frightening to the highest achievers pushing for grade 9. I know the moments where students get stuck, the topics that cost marks unnecessarily, and the exam techniques that make the difference between a grade 4 and a grade 5.
That experience is baked into everything on this platform. The grade predictions use machine learning trained on years of real student data. The targeted revision papers are weighted by the marks available in each topic — so every minute your child spends revising is working as hard as possible.
