Why I understand the decision you have made
We unschooled our own two children for four years.

My wife and I are both teachers, which made taking our children out of school one of the most challenging decisions we have ever made. We kept the demands low, facilitated learning around what they were interested in, and had a good deal of fun together. Both of them independently chose to go back to school a few years later. My daughter has just passed her GCSEs and starts a Textiles course at college, and my son came top of his school in his Year 6 SATs with a reading age of eighteen and is now beginning his own GCSE courses.
I mention it only because I get what you are going through. I fought hard for my own children's education and having children who need extra support makes the system even more challenging to navigate. Let me take one thing off of your very busy plates!
